Dinner Party is a band, nay a supergroup, comprising the evergreen talents of Edwin Stevens (he of Irma Vep, Sex Hands et al..) and Nick Ainsworth and Tom Settle, both of Former Bullies. A new L.P ‘Too Live To Die’ will be out in late summer and is every bit as good as you are imagining it is from seeing the names involved.
Sprinters are currently riding on the crest of their eponymous debut album, which was released in May this year. The band will tour the U.K in September in support of an L.P heavy on hooks and melodic interplay, and which comes highly recommended for fans of Real Estate, Kurt Vile, Yo Le Tengo & The Feelies.
Cult Party is the bedroom project of Leo Robinson, a multidisciplinary artist who specialises in making the kind of hushed, evocative recordings which bring to mind the intimacy of heavyweights such as The Microphones & Thanksgiving. Leo and his live band will be performing at Indietracks later this month (July) and a new L.P 'And Then There Was This Sound’ will be released in late Autumn.
